Tour Time: 7:30am – 4:30pm
From the moment we collect you in our luxury Toyota Granvia, your day unfolds in comfort and ease. As we drive north toward the Daintree, the landscape shifts from coastline to rainforest, setting the scene for a truly exceptional experience.
Private Daintree River Cruise
Your first chapter begins on the water. A private one-hour cruise allows you to explore the Daintree River at its quietest and most intimate. With no crowds and no rush, you’ll have the best chance to spot crocodiles in the wild, glimpse snakes sunning on branches, and watch birdlife moving through the mangroves. Your guide shares insights into this unique ecosystem, building your understanding of the forest you’re about to enter.
Alexandra Lookout
Leaving the river behind, we drive to the stunning Alexandra Lookout. The view opens dramatically: the mouth of the Daintree River below, rainforest stretching toward Cape Tribulation, and—on a clear day—the coastline leading all the way back to Port Douglas. It’s one of the region’s most impressive vantage points and a perfect moment to pause before heading deeper into the forest.
Morning Tea at Daintree Ice Cream Co.
Your mid-morning break is set in a tropical orchard at Daintree Ice Cream Company. Enjoy barista-made coffee served with a tasting of seasonal fruits grown on the property, along with their house-made ice cream. It’s simple, fresh, and distinctly local.
Guided Rainforest Walk
Next, your guide leads you through the lush rainforest along the Jindalba Boardwalk. This is a relaxed and informative walk where the Daintree’s story becomes tangible: ancient trees, hidden forest sounds, and the possibility of spotting a cassowary. Your guide interprets the landscape in a way that brings clarity to what you’re seeing—quiet, unhurried, and deeply engaging.
Exceptional Lunch at Silky Oaks Lodge
We then take the ferry back across the Daintree River and make our way to Silky Oaks Lodge for a signature dining experience. The Treehouse Restaurant sits high above the Mossman River, with open-air views of flowing water and surrounding rainforest. The cuisine is refined, modern Australian, inspired by the region’s produce and crafted to match the serene setting. This is not just lunch — it’s one of the most iconic dining settings in Tropical North Queensland.
Mossman Gorge — Guided Walk & Optional Swim
After lunch, we continue to Mossman Gorge for a guided walk along an easily accessible boardwalk, past enormous granite boulders and through pristine rainforest. The option to swim in the cool, crystal-clear waters of the Mossman River is available if you choose — a refreshing and memorable way to end the day.
Finally, we return you to your accommodation, relaxed and enriched after a day that blends luxury, nature, and local knowledge in perfect balance.

Your guide will bring the forest’s stories and ecological marvels to life as you wander beneath its ancient layers.
Alexandra Lookout
We finish the exploration with a scenic stop at Alexandra Lookout. Overlooking the Daintree River mouth, Snapper Island and the coastline stretching back to Port Douglas, this viewpoint is a highlight for many guests — expansive, breathtaking and beautifully peaceful.
