Afternoon Mossman Gorge & Daintree River Tour
This is a great tour for those of you who are short on time, or like to enjoy a nice sleep-in while on holiday! You visit two areas in the Daintree Rainforest on this trip, Mossman Gorge and the Daintree River, with your personal tour guide.
- You will get picked up from your accommodation in Port Douglas by your personal guide for the afternoon. If you are driving up from Cairns we will meet you at the Wildlife Habitat Carpark.
- We drive north along the Captain Cook Highway, passing cane fields on the way to the Daintree River, and share a little history and many interesting facts along the way.
- You will board a cruise along the Daintree River, looking out for all manner of wildlife, including the saltwater crocodile, snakes, birds, frogs, and more. Enjoy a wine, beer or soft drink while taking in the beautiful views and local wildlife.
- Next we head to Mossman Gorge, which is the southern part of the Daintree Rainforest. Your guide will take you on a walk and share their knowledge of the local flora and fauna and answer any questions you may have. This is an easy 500m return walk mostly along boardwalks.
- You can enjoy a swim in the crystal-clear rainforest stream, which can be quite refreshing, whilst being surrounded by the beautiful and healing Mossman Gorge rainforest. What a great way to spend the afternoon.
- After a great afternoon of discovering the Daintree Rainforest and River, we will drop you off at your accommodation or car.

* We pick up from all resorts, apartments, holiday homes and caravan parks in Port Douglas and surrounding area. If you are staying in Cairns we invite you to make your own way to Port Douglas by rental car or local shuttle and meet us at the Wildlife Habitat Carpark.

Great half day experience. The crocodile spotting was fun and entertaining for the kids, and the Daintree Forrest is beautiful. We saw loads of crocs, walked the forest trails and really enjoyed the relaxed pace of the tour.

An amazing 1/2 day adventure with Daniel (tour guide) to Daintree river crocodile tour & then to the stunning Mossman Gorge for a swim. Interesting & entertaining commentary throughout. Highlight was seeing many real crocs in their natural habitat & the very funny boat captain Ray. So pleased we swam in the Gorge, what an experience!
